Good morning, friends! It’s no surprise that I’m a huge fan of polka dot prints. They’re not only fun and flirty, but have a vintage charm to them that I absolutely adore. This top in particular has a high neck and feels like a t-shirt, though it is a blouse. It’s has a bodysuit like construction making it perfect for tucking into skirts and jeans/pants alike. Last year I styled some polka dots with blush pinks and red. This year, I went with a high contrast look in black and white and a pop of red. A classic combo. I also styled the top with a pair of skinny jeans and red heels later in the day. Both looks are ideal for Valentine’s Day, which is right around the corner! Happy Tuesday, friends! Today I’m bringing you all of the goodies from the February edition of Glossybox’s monthly beauty box. Their campaign for this month is all about “sealed with a kiss” and includes two great lip products! This was soooo much fun to photograph! The box is incredibly cute, but even cuter is my little Ava wanting to be a part of it. She was all about the roses and even handed one to me, which melted my heart. Good morning and happy Wednesday, friends! Hopefully wherever you are it’s not snowing up to 8 inches like it is here. Regardless, today’s look is all about some flirty feminine fun! This outfit combines just the right amount girliness with a little bit is sass and as I just mentioned, a whole lot of fun. Polka dots are big for spring and are being seen everywhere. It’s a print that has never really gone out of style and always reminds me of my vintage vixens. This suede mini skirt is so soft to touch with the prettiest pleats. They also have built in shorts underneath, which is awesome, so no bending over accidents happen, haha. This outfit would be another fabulous look for Valentine’s Day!

Good morning and happy February 1st! It is officially the month of love and what better way to kick it off than with a little Galentine’s Day Party. Just the “gals” here hence, Galentine’s lol. Ava and I spent the better part of a day celebrating and having our yearly party. We started with putting on our makeup and then getting dressed up. Ava picked out her own accessories and was very excited the whole time. The anticipation of it all! This has always been my favorite post to do throughout the entire year and one I always look forward to. Then we set the table together and lastly baked the cookies. She helped spread the icing and sprinkle on the sprinkles, all while enjoying eating some in the process, haha. Ava kept saying it was a tea party and honestly, we’ve been having little tea parties every day since then. Every meal happens at the dining table so why not make it pretty and fun?! After taking some photos, we dug in to all of the goodies and had some girl chats talking about the things we love. The heart ballon has a nice little story behind it. We were out the day before picking up the roses for the party, when a worker at the store just fell in love with Ava. He ended up cutting this ballon down from one of the displays and giving it to her, which was incredibly sweet! Thank you! This was one of the best days I’ve had and couldn't have spent it with a better gal than my little Ava. Cheers to all of the loved ones in your life! <3

Good morning and happy Tuesday, everyone! Today’s focus is all about Valentines Day inspiration. The holiday is fast approaching and will be here before you know it! I’m already starting to prep for our annual Valentines Day party too. This scallop neck red lace dress is absolutely flawless and perfect for a dreamy night out. It’s currently on sale for $23 too! I’m wearing a size small for reference. The intricate lace and scallop detailing is beyond beautiful. I particularly love the lace sleeves and midi length. While I do have Valentines Day on my mind, this dress would also be fabulous for a night out on the town!

Good morning and happy new year! Snow pictures are my favorite to take. There’s something quite magical and enchanting about the new fallen snow. It makes a beautiful bright backdrop too. The only downside is the cold, haha. I could certainly do without that. Before you ask, yes, I have heels on in the snow. Nothing new for me, but I wanted to show how I would actually wear this outfit, say for Valentines Day, which is going to be here before you know it! It’s never too early to start planning. On the actual day I took these, it was snowing so plan B called for some boots to walk through the inches of snow on the ground. In any case, this red dress was the perfect pop of color against the snow. I love the circle style too, hello twirling! This dress is on sale right now for $22. I’m wearing a size small an found it to fit true to size.

Oh my little Ava bug. These are always my favorite kinds of posts to do. The whole time I was like, oh I love you so much Ava and she kept eyeing the cupcakes haha. She had cake on her first birthday, but this was the first time she had cupcakes and let me tell you, she LOVED them! As you can see from most of the photos, she's holding one and has icing all over her mouth. They were Ava approved! I tried to get our dresses to match as best I could too. I really want to find a store that specializes in matching mother daughter outfits. My dress is an old one from Modcloth. Ava's is a recent one from The Children's Place.
Every Valentine's Day I pretty much prepare the same treats and make sure the house has pretty flowers throughout it. While many feel this may be a "hallmark" holiday, I see it as a day to celebrate all of the love you have in your life. In grade school, we handed out valentines to our friends and as we grew older, we started celebrating with significant others. Whether it be your husband, wife, best friend, mother, father, brother, sister, daughter, or son, you can celebrate with any of these people and show them that you care. The list can go and on and on!
