Tied With A Bow Wrap Skirt

Spring has finally sprung in Pennsylvania! The past two weeks have provided some magical days and evenings with the flowering trees blooming, the weather turning a tad warmer, and the fresh scent of spring in the air. I find the pretty blossoms to be the absolute best backgrounds and wish they would last longer than they usually do. Every time we see a blossom tree, Ava points it out with such excitement. She was such a darling during this photo shoot too. She kept bringing flowers over to me with the biggest smile on her face. She melts my heart! This wrap skirt was the perfect compliment to our afternoon out in the sun. With the temperatures rising, I wanted a look that reminded me of sunshine and blue skies. Of course, blue and yellow also have a nautical vibe to them, which I adore and its one of my favorite color combos! The skirt also has the most adorable ruffles along the hemline and fits true to size. Along with a day out in the spring, I can also imagine wearing this on a beach vacation!

Pearls Are Always A Good Idea

Striped Pearl Neck Sweater c/o || Pearl Circle Skirt c/o || Red Bow Flats || Pearl Clutch || Jackie Kennedy Pearl Earrings || Red Lipstick || Pink & Blue Co. Bracelet c/o || Black Bow Hair Tie ||

Happy Wednesday, everyone! If there is one combination that will forever remind me of Parisian chic women, it’s a striped sweater, black skirt (or pants!) with a red lip and strand of pearls. This particular outfit also has an Audrey Hepburn feel to it. The obvious stand out detail of this look is the abundance of pearls adorning not one item, but four in total! The phrase more is more certainly applies here. Each piece works together, without being over the top, to bring an elegant feel and nod to the 1950s.

Jackie Kennedy famously said, “pearls are always appropriate,” and I quite agree. A black circle skirt and striped sweater are classic pieces that can be worn effortlessly and with a variety of outfits. They are staples in any woman’s closet blending in seamlessly throughout the decades. Adding pearls to each item, in a tasteful manner, elevates and makes them stand out from the crowd. I love how the sweater from Chicwish has three strands of pearls along the neckline almost as if it were a necklace. The quality of the sweater is top notch with a heavy fabric and true sizing. The circle skirt has the pearls only in the front and sparingly so, which I appreciate. The sizing for the skirt also runs true to size. The blush clutch, which I got on sale, is the prettiest shade of blush and has gorgeous big pearls dotted along the front flap. It also comes in black.

That Holiday Feeling

Plaid Top c/o || Forever 21 Skirt (Old, Similar Here) || Plaid Shoes || Melie Bianco Bag (Old, Similar Here) || Stella & Dot Ring || DW Watch c/o || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || LipSense Lip Color c/o ||

Good morning, friends! This plaid top gives me all the holiday feels! The bright red catches the eye while the plaid sleeves add a beautiful contrast.  It’s the perfect top for fall and transitioning over to the Christmas season. They say it’s all in the details and I completely agree! The little bow tie gives this top a vintage twist and elevates it to anything but basic. I kept with the plaid theme and chose this midi skirt I’ve had from Forever 21. It’s fantastic on those cold days. These plaid shoes finish off the outfit nicely, also having a very chic navy bow on them with little rhinestones. The top runs true to size. I’m wearing a small and it’s on sale now for $18!

Bow Ties

Bow Tie Sweater c/o || AG Skinny Jeans || Similar Leopard Heels || Melie Bianco Bag (Old, Similar Here) || Striped Turtleneck || Stella & Dot Ring || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring ||

Happy Friday, friends! It’s no secret I have quite a love for anything with a bow on it. They can elevate even the simplest piece into something very special and of course I love the feminine feel. This sweater has two black bow ties on either side and a high low hemline. The bottom half of the sweater is open where the ties are so I layered a turtleneck underneath. It is a one size fits all and is only $21. There’s just something about a tan sweater in the fall. It’s a classic and goes with everything!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! It’s supposed to rain and even possibly snow up my way. Definitely good movie weather. There’s quite a few good ones out or coming out very soon. I’m particularly wanting to see Murder On The Orient Express. Poirot has always been a favorite of mine!

Cozy Sweater // Black And Tan

Black Sweater c/o || Paige Black Skinny Jeans || Tory Burch Riding Boots || Kate Spade Bag || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Stella & Dot Ring || Stella & Dot Earrings ||

Good morning, friends! Last night I finshed watching the second season of Stranger Things  on Netflix. Literally everyone I know has been talking about the show and how good it is so I decided to see for myself. I basically watched seasons one and two in three days! It definitely gets you hooked on the story line.

I wore this super cozy sweater over the weekend and absolutely loved it! It has a roll neck, just like a turtleneck, and slightly long sleeves that have elastic at the end so they don’t cover your hands. Of course, you can pull them up over your hands if you wanted to. I do this sometimes when I get really cold. It is a one size fits all and is only $21. The fit is slightly cropped, though on someone taller than me, it may be an actual cropped sweater

Fall In Love With Your Life

Yellow Sweatshirt c/o || Similar Plaid Skirt || Black Loafer Mules  || Similar Bag (Mine is Melie Bianco) || DW Watch c/o || Stella & Dot Earrings || Stella & Dot Ring || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring ||

Good morning, friends! I hope everyone had fun yesterday with their Halloween festivities. Now onto Christmas, haha! I have to laugh because everyone really skips over Thanksgiving anymore and heads right into the most festive time of the year. I think everyone wants to soak up as much Christmas cheer as they can. The season really does go by very quickly, especially when you are planning so many different things.

I saw this sweatshirt online and thought how wonderful the saying on it is. It reads, “Fall In Love With Your Life.” The color alone is a cheerful one, but the saying really hit home for me. I think we could all use that as a little reminder every now and then. I would usually wear this tucked into my skirt, which I did, but I also wore it untucked to be able to read the message. Either way is really cute in my opinion. I’m wearing a size small and the sweatshirt is only $16! Definitely something I’ll be grabbing time and time again.

Camel, Stripes, And A Bow. Happy Halloween!

Camel Cardigan c/o || Striped Sweater c/o || AG Skinny Jeans || Similar Black Bow Heels || Similar Tory Burch Bag || Sunglasses c/o || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || Stella And Dot Earrings || Stella And Dot Ring ||

Happy Halloween! I hope everyone enjoys the spooky holiday and has fun trick or treating! I'm always get excited to hear The Monster Mash, Thriller, and The Ghost Buster theme songs on the radio too. It’s not Halloween without them!

Whenever I see a special little detail on a piece of clothing, I am instantly hooked. The striped sweater, a classic staple piece on its own, is elevated and made even more lovely with the addition of a delicate bow around the cuffs. I’m smitten! The sweater is a one size fits all. I’m also crazy about this cardigan! The camel is a great neutral and pairs with just about anything. My favorite though is with traditional fall colors such as burnt orange, mustard, red, black, white, or olive green. This is the kind of outfit that will always be a classic and forever chic.

Hello and good morning, friends! One of the biggest trends this season is crushed velvet. It's a luxe material that instantly makes any outfit feel glam. This top in particular incorporates many fun details into one. Not only is the fabric a beautiful blush crushed velvet, but there is also a bow-tie and fun bell sleeves. The top fits true to size and is only $14! I've been pairing blush with soft grays lately and cannot get enough of the color combo for fall.

Midnight Sky

Similar Mustard Top || Pleated Skirt c/o || Similar Blue Shoes || Blush Circle Bag || Stella & Dot Earrings || Stella & Dot Ring || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || Karl Largerfeld Watch c/o ||

Hello, friends and happy Friday! Did anyone catch It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown last night? That's one of my favorite yearly specials to watch along with the Christmas Charlie Brown special. My mom and I would watch them every year together. It was one of our traditions that I continue on to this day. Ava was captivated with it too!

When I saw this skirt, it reminded me of the midnight sky. I love the beautiful pleats too! I immediately knew I wanted to wear a mustard yellow top with it to represent the twinkling stars in the sky. The Starry Night is one of my favorite paintings and that's where the inspiration for the colors came from. My top is old from Modcloth and has always been one of my favorite light knit sweaters that I own. The color catches the eye and the contrasting blue peter pan collar gives a vintage vibe. This skirt was very comfortable to wear and is a one size fits all. Mine fit me just fine with the elastic waist. It's absolutely elegant!

Farewell Summer....

Gingham Ruffle Dress c/o || Vt Thai Straw Bag c/o (Use Code Ama01 for 10% off your order) || Rockstud Heels c/o ||

Hello, all! While there are technically still some days left in summer, the weather is starting to slowly change over. I have to say, the weather in NEPA has been all over the place lately, what's new though lol. The end of August and beginning of September were particularly chilly and felt like October. The past few days have actually felt like they should, which definitely put a smile on my face. I still enjoy those warm and sunny afternoons! In any case, I'm wrapping up my outfits that are purely summer influenced and saying a fond farewell to summer 2017. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Lemon Aid Dress // Water Hyacinth Bag

Hello all and happy Friday eve! I can hardly believe that tomorrow rings in a new month and a new season with it. Crazy how fast time flies by. While I'm super excited for fall to arrive, I'm still enjoying every last drop of summer that there is. One thing I always miss about summer is just throwing on a dress and heading out the door. It's a no fuss outfit that always looks effortlessly chic. While I do love to layer in the fall, I'll still always miss the ease of a simple dress. This dress reminds me of lemon aid and its only $20! Such a steal. I love that it has some sleeves on it too, which makes it have a shirt dress feel. Oh! This dress has pockets too! I'm obsessed with dresses that have pockets, haha.

I wore this bag recently in my previous two posts and adore how big and roomy it is without looking too overwhelming on my small frame. It looks like a straw bag, but its actually made out of water hyacinth! Pretty cool, right?! It's very light weight too, which is great for when I need to put all of my everyday essentials in it and then carry it around all day. It's only $22.86 too, which is an awesome price for a well made bag. I've been talking with the company over the past few weeks and they are very reputable and friendly. No complaints here. All of the bags are hand crafted too. I recently got this one to transition into fall with. I'm not ready to completely put away my straw/wicker bags yet.

Good morning and happy Tuesday! This was one of my favorite summer photo shoots this year. Everything about it was so dreamy and romantic. Plus, the location has so much meaning for me and is always increadibly pretty to see. I'm going to keep it rather short today. I was having computer troubles so this post took quite a bit of time to get together. The bandeau top and skort set do run true to size and are only $31! The blue and white stripes evoke a classic preppy feel while the slit in the skort adds some subtle sexiness to the outfit. I love the ruffles too!

Blue Porcelain

Blue Porcelain Top And Short Set c/o || Clutch || Sunglasses || Rock Stud Sandals c/o || Bauble Bar Star Drop Earrings c/o || Christian Paul Watch c/o || Jackie Kennedy Cascade Ring || Rose Gold Love Bangle ||

Good morning, friends and happy Friday eve! Haha, we're almost there to the weekend! I'm particularly excited for this weekend because we're supposed to have spectacular weather. I mean, absolutely flawless paradise type of weather. Sunshine, blue skies, temps in the 70s, slight breeze, and NO rain in sight! That means lots of outdoor activities are scheduled.

One of my favorite patterns that is reminiscent of the good ol' days is blue porcelain. It's striking with the vibrant blue color, one of my favorite colors. I actually used an almost identical shade of blue for my brides maids dresses when I got married. It's been a long time favorite. Every time I see the pattern it reminds me of The Andy Griffith Show, which if you have never seen, please go watch a few episodes! In the colored episodes, Aunt Bee has plates with a blue and white porcelain pattern on them. I also love to search for vintage plates/cups/bowls with the pattern when I go antiquing. The set is only $18 and runs true to size. Combo sets like this are great. It's like a two for one deal!

Pink Pom Poms

Happy Friday, friends! This dress is so cute with small bell sleeves and little pom poms along the hemline, cuffs, and around the chest. I love how feminine it is and super comfy to wear too! Plus, it's under $24! This dress has a loose fit. I'm wearing an XS for reference and found it to be roomy. While it's still summer and I'm savoring every last second of it, I'm starting to think ahead to transition outfits and the cooler weather, though they're forecasting a warmer fall this year so who knows. Regardless, I'm loving the fact that this dress can be taken from summer into fall with its thicker fabric and long sleeves. Pink is everywhere for fall and can be worn year around, which I totally love! A simple switch of the bag and shoes and you have a transition to fall outfit.

The Pink Midi Dress

Hello all! I hope everyone is having a good week so far. Is everyone getting ready for the upcoming Nordstrom Fall Preview Sale (early access) this Thursday? Summer may be in full swing, but I always geta bit excited to see the fall clothes and start thinking about pumpkin spice everything, colorful leaves, and pumpkin picking. Don't get me wrong, I love all things about summer, but fall definitely holds a special place in my heart.

Now, back to the good ol' summertime. You'll almost always find me some kind of dress during the summer. It's my go-to uniform and one that never fails, especially my favorite fit-and flares! This dress, in my favorite hue, has pretty lace detailing and is a fantastic dupe to the Self Portrait dress that costs way way more. I'm wearing my typical size, but found it to be slightly loose. I also have the red version of this dress and found it to fit a bit better. I'm not sure why that would be since technically its the same dress, but it is worth mentioning.

Palm Print Swimsuit

Hello all and happy Thursday! I hope everyone had a fabulous fourth of July holiday with their family and friends. Ava and I had a cookout, went swimming, and were able to catch some fireworks before calling it a night. Now that summer is in full swing, you'll catch me outside as much as possible which means fun in the sun activities in a swimsuit. Definitely remember your sunscreen! My eyes were immediately drawn to this pink and palm print suit when looking online. It's only $16 too! It does run a bit small so I would order one size up for a more comfortable fit. The print and color combo are so striking in person. I've been loving pink and green lately.

They're so chic and versatile with other colors including blush, yellow, red, and orange.

I hope everyone enjoys the holiday today with some patriotic pride!
